Punjab Red Cross celebrates “WORLD HEALTH DAY”

In compliance with the directions from the IRCS, NHQ, the Punjab State Red Cross Branch organized a programme on 7th April 2022 on the theme “OUR PLANET, OUR HEALTH”.

Function started with Red Cross Song (Anthem).
Dr. Rana J. Singh, Deputy Regional Director, International Union Against Tuberculosis Lung Disease, New Delhi was the key note speaker on the day. Mrs Prajakta Nilkanth Avhad, Chairman, Child Welfare Council, Punjab & President Samvedna and Dr. Amarjit Singh. Deputy DHS were also present on the occasion. About 100 persons including volunteers, first aid trainees, staff and officials of the State Branch attended this function.
The audience were awared about relationship between health & planet, physical & mental Health, dangers of using tobacco, impact of pollution on planet etc.

An oath was taken to make collective efforts to keep our planet and it’s environment healthy and pollution free so that everyone can lead a healthy and productive life.
The function ended with National Anthem.
