Indian Red Cross Society, Punjab State Branch Celebrates International Yoga Day -21st June, 2026

Under the able guidance of Secretary, Punjab State Red Cross Branch, S. Shivdular Singh Dhillon, IAS (Retd.), the Indian Red Cross Society, Punjab State Branch, celebrated International Yoga Day with this year’s theme “Yoga for Healthy Ageing”.

All staff members of Punjab Red Cross actively participated in the yoga session. Expert instructors were invited to conduct the session and demonstrate asanas beneficial for healthy ageing and overall well-being.

In addition to the yoga session, a sound healing session was also organized for the participants to promote mental relaxation and holistic health.

Punjab Red Cross celebrates International Yoga Day 2025
 
On Saturday, June 21, 2025, the Indian Red Cross Society, Punjab State Branch, Chandigarh, celebrated International Yoga Day at its office premises for its staff members. The event was held under the guidance of Mr. Shivdular Singh Dillon, Secretary (IAS retd.).This year’s theme, “Yoga for One Earth, One Health,” aligned perfectly with the occasion’s aim to promote physical wellness, mental clarity, and team building among the team.
The celebration started with a yoga session led by Ms. Neha Kataria, Yoga Therapist and Ms. Muskan Puri from Yogkaya Ekam Shakti Yoga Therapy Studio. They taught various yoga techniques to relieve stress, improve flexibility, and enhance overall well-being. The staff actively participated in the yoga session, enjoying the relaxing and rejuvenating experience.
Following the yoga session, Mr. Gaurav Batra, Forensic Expert, led a soothing musical therapy session, designed to relax the body organs and calm the mind. The event was successful, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all staff of Punjab State Red Cross.
The celebration of International Yoga Day by Punjab Red Cross was a huge success, reinforcing the importance of yoga in our lives and encouraging the team to prioritize self-care and wellness.

Punjab Red Cross celebrates International Yoga Day 2024

The Punjab Red Cross Branch celebrated “International Yoga Day” on 21st June, 2024 with full seriousness, sagacity

and enthusiasm. Various banners and charts with different messages on importance & usefulness of ‘Yoga’ were displayed in the vicinity of Punjab Red Cross Bhawan.
Ms. Neha Kataria, Yoga Therapist  & Mr. Gaurav Batra, Forensic Expert  were the guest of honour on the day. They shed lights on the important yoga exercises and various asanas and then Yogic Exercises were done by the participants .
