Red Cross Computer Centre which is located in the complex of Punjab Saket Hospital, Patiala. Red Cross Computer Centre was started in Feb 2006 as a Computer Project under the supervision of Indian Red Cross Society, Punjab State Branch, Chandigarh. Punjab Red Cross giving absolutely free training to the Cancer Victim and their families with the help of Global Cancer Concern India, Gurgaon. 650 students have got training in short term courses like Basic, Tally and 360 students got training in DCA (Diploma in Computer Application)Course and 80 students got training in Hardware and some students are successfully placed in private & Government sector. The Centre has ultra model building with friendly atmosphere of well qualified faculty members who are imparting training to the students in a very understanding way. All Courses are conducting free of cost to Cancer Patients and their families.
Hardware course:
There is computer hardware Lab in Computer centre at saket hospital patiala. Which have computer repair tools and Computer systems for practical training for the students.
Some students have been engaged in computer hardware field and computer assembling in the private companies and some students have opened their own shops.
The training in the hardware course is being imparted in both ways i.e; theoretically and practically.
