World First Aid Day Celebrated with Mega First Aid Workshop in Hoshiarpur

On the occasion of World First Aid Day, District Red Cross Society, Hoshiarpur organized a mega workshop at GEMS Cambridge International School and at Red Cross School of Vocational Learning.

The workshop focused on imparting life-saving First Aid skills that are essential for handling emergencies at home, workplaces and public areas. These vital skills aim to empower students to act swiftly and effectively in critical situations, potentially saving lives.

Over 650 students participated in the one-day, 03 hour session. The attendees enthusiastically engaged in hands-on learning and praised the Red Cross Society for its initiative in spreading such important and practical knowledge.

The District Red Cross Society continues its commitment to building a safer and more prepared community through such many more training events in coming days too.

INDIAN RED CROSS SOCIETY, PUNJAB STATE BRANCH CELEBRATES WORLD FIRST AID DAY

Under the able guidance of Secretary of IRCS, Punjab State Branch S. Shivdular Singh Dhillon IAS(retd),The Indian Red Cross Society, Punjab State Branch, in collaboration with Chandigarh University, successfully celebrated World First Aid Day. The event featured a comprehensive training session on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), imparted by a certified trainer from the Red Cross Punjab State Branch

Indian Red Cross Society, Punjab State Branch Observes World First Aid Day with Walkathon
 
Today on September 14th, 2024: The Indian Red Cross Society, Punjab State Branch, organized a walkathon to mark World First Aid Day.
The event, aimed at promoting awareness about the importance of first aid, began at the Student Centre, Panjab University, Chandigarh, and concluded at the Punjab State Red Cross Office.
Participants enthusiastically chanted slogans emphasizing the significance of first aid, such as “Learn First Aid, Save Lives” and “First Aid for All,” during the walkathon. The event saw a significant turnout, with students, faculty members, staff members and citizens from various walks of life participating to show their support for the cause.
To recognize their efforts, participants were awarded certificates upon completing the walkathon. The event served as a platform to educate people about the lifesaving skills of first aid and encourage individuals to take action.
World First Aid Day is celebrated annually on second Saturday of September to raise awareness about the importance of first aid training and its role in saving lives.
